As a born & bred New Yorker with experience working at a top waxing salon, I’ve been trained for speed (IYKYK). However, after spending four years in what I call the “corporate world of waxing,” I’ve mastered the art of making “speed waxing” feel like a luxuriously-long beauty treatment.
Plus, being the gal who has always craved a slower life, an intentional waxing style allows me to create more meaningful connections with my clients.

I’ll be honest – you’ll never hear me compare a Brazilian wax to a deep tissue massage.
However, despite what you may have heard, waxing isn’t all that painful when it’s done properly (so get rid of that mental image you have from The 40-Year-Old Virgin).
At Polaris hair removal, we’re strictly on the “hard wax only” train. Unlike the soft wax method that pulls on the skin and causes irritation, hard wax sticks only to the hairs to remove each one directly from the follicle for the smoothest, longest-lasting results.
So, though you may get a twinge of discomfort now and then, I can assure you that the high-quality wax I use (plus, ya know, my killer technique) will make the few seconds of “okay, ouch” so worth it.
