For the people who want to be part of something bigger than just waxing: this could be exactly where you belong.

Here at Polaris Hair Removal Studio, we’re redefining the beauty industry from both ends. To us, that means changing the way our clients view hair removal, but also changing the way waxing professionals (aka, YOU!) are treated.

If you’ve been in the industry long enough, you’ve seen firsthand how brutal it can be for wax specialists and support staff at waxing studios. That’s why we want to do things differently. Here, hating your job, going through the motions, or viewing it as a “side hustle” on the path to something else isn’t what we’re going for. We firmly believe that your job should be your vehicle for enjoying your life—ya know, the thing that allows you to live the way you really want to, while still enjoying the work you do when you’re in the studio.

Think of this as the place where you can truly thrive in your career and live a comfortable, confident life (even if Aunt Sue still “can’t believe” you’re spending your days doing Brazilian waxes while chatting all things Love Island with clients).

After two years in business, we’re committed to our goals of changing the industry as a whole, and SO excited to grow this community and studio for the next 30 years.

We hope you want to be a part of this change, too.

open positions

Wax Specialist

When you work with a client, you’re not just sculpting their brows or performing a Brazilian. You’re creating an experience that makes hair removal feel like an act of self-care (because it is!).

As a wax specialist, you’ll:

  • Always do your best to make clients feel comfortable and confident in their skin (hairless or not!).
  • Calm those first-timer nerves and turn them into repeat clients.
  • Perform super precise, thoughtful services while keeping things fun and light (although tbh, we don’t shy away from the deep convos, either!).
  • Make it easy to book their next appointment before they leave, share and recommend your fave aftercare products, and offer tips that will help make their hair removal experience even better!
  • Jump in where needed without issue, whether that’s picking up the phone if the coordinator’s in the bathroom or grabbing another waxer’s trash because you’ve got a spare minute.

Here’s your checklist before you apply:
  • 3+ years of experience in Brazilian, brows, and full-body waxing
  • Total pro at educating clients on aftercare and sharing products recs they’ll actually use (and thank you for!)
  • Knows waxing inside & out and can work confidently with different hard waxes
  • Has the sales skills to hit retail goals
  • Can handle up to 20 services a shift and still keep your energy up (yes, even on a Friday afternoon). Please note that this position comes with its fair share of lifting, bending, and prolonged periods of standing
  • This isn’t a pit stop on the way to something else; you’re truly excited to grow with us and help us create a culture of empowerment at our studio

Sales & Client Coordinator

Here’s your checklist before you apply:
  • 3+ years in a client-facing sales or hospitality role (bonus points if you have salon or spa experience!)
  • Comfortable with sales targets and hitting them like a total pro
  • Obsessed with giving clients the best experience possible
  • Can recommend services, treatment plans, and products in a way that feels like it’s from a trusted friend, not a script
  • Can kindly but confidently enforce policies, boundaries, and fees (aka, firm but not cold)
  • Great communicator. Whether it’s via email, over the phone, or in person, you really get people and how to talk to them
  • No side-hustle energy. You’re here for the long haul and ready to grow with the studio

We’re looking for someone who brings alllll the energy and makes people feel welcome the second they walk in. Basically, you’re a people person through and through.

As a sales & client coordinator, you’ll:

  • Be the first and last face people see when they come through our studio.
  • Make checkout and rebooking an absolute breeze.
  • Close sales without sounding like a pushy infomercial.
  • Keep the schedule balanced and full.
  • Recommend products that make clients’ hair removal services even better.
  • Understand that every single client interaction is a chance to make someone’s day better and help our studio shine .

  • Holding yourself to a higher standard
  • Leading with thoughtfulness
  • Fostering a radiant and uplifting community
  • Being open and honest
  • Genuinely enjoying the work

These aren’t just words to us. They’re how we choose who joins our team and how we treat each other (and our clients) every single day.

our core values

Everything we do here is grounded in:

Before you decide to apply…

Here’s what it’s like to work with us!

We don’t just want employees here—want true team members who love what they do and get to share in the success they help achieve for our studio. Get to know us more so you can find out whether you’d be a good fit for our team!
There’s no such thing as a “waxing body.” All bodies are welcome here, always, and everyone who comes through our doors deserves kindness, comfort, and a little hype-up energy.

If a client ever apologizes for her body, we shut that down (in the kindest way, of course) and give her the confidence boost she deserves.

How we practice body positivity:

We love, and I mean LOVE, what we do here, and we want to make this industry a softer, kinder, and more supportive place to work.

That means no drama or cattiness ever. We support each other and work as a team, and we always bring a welcoming energy. We’re also super committed to this work, so we’re not looking for someone treating it as a stepping stone to another job or industry.

Our deal breakers:

We’re a strong, supportive group that’s here for each and every team member, whether someone needs help during a busy shift or just a much-needed laugh between clients.

When you work here, you’ll never feel like you have to “tough it out” alone. We believe that the best work happens when everyone feels happy, supported, and excited to be here.

Our studio vibe:

Think community + independence. We LOVE when team members take initiative and trust their gut on those little decisions, but we won’t leave you hanging if you need clarity, direction, or a helping hand.

Because we value your time and ours, we’ll always be straight up with you about expectations so you know exactly what success looks like.

Our leadership style:

Because we never want you to feel left in the dark, your entire first week will be totally mapped out! You’ll know where to be, what to wear, what you’re learning, and what to expect each day.

Every new hire joins an in-depth group orientation that covers policies, procedures, and expectations. You’ll also take a personality test so we can better understand how you communicate, what motivates you, and how to make your workdays the best they can be.

Our onboarding process:

Listen—we’re all adults here, so you literally never have to “ask permission” for time off. Need a Friday in sweats? Cool. Hey, go take that vacation to Europe!

Of course, give us a little heads-up so we can plan the schedule, but you won’t get eyerolls or guilt trips for taking care of yourself. We want you to have a life outside of the studio (and yes, expect pics from your vacation).
